Overground East for the D.D.C. Sun deep setting on the blocks, cloud patterns over the City, a cosmic light show as we fall with the planet into another Saturday night. And here on the top floor the chefs are busy shooting the white bean velouté, the people are ordering Brazilian Riesling and I’m deciding on the perfect musical accompaniment to peanut butter ice cream.

Deep shadows and bright sun highlight the beauty of small things, the beauty of old things, the beauty of the things we live with and don’t usually notice. Everything is special.

Steve told me the songs would tell me when each of them was ready. He said I was being impatient, they needed more time. He was right of course. But now I think one of them is done. I think it told me, in the sunlight, just now, it’s ready.
