That Fuzzy Feeling: Lone – Magic Drops Some fine post-Dubstep electro action on one of my labels of the year. Somewhere Somewhere is the new movie from Sofia Coppola, it’s a beautiful, funny, simple story of a movie star who finds himself through his relationship with his daughter. There’s a great scene in a swimming pool that uses The Strokes – I’ll Try Anything Once. So I tracked it down for a play on the show. Dubstep meets Techno One of the musical things I am most excited about for 2011 is the mix of dubstep, London bass music and techno, check the new George Fitzgerald tune on Hot Flush, and especially the SCB remix on the flip for what I am talking about.

They have an album that rounds up their activity to date and features some cool remixes from Memory Tapes and others. They are on a few current trends including the one for old tech fetishism. The cover of the their limited edition hand numbered CD features the iconic but impractical Minidisc, Sony’s one time attempted replacement for the no less iconic cassette.
